#45-47 Caching on the way to home

On the way home I decided to go to cache hunt, as the highway where I ride home normally every day had a big traffic jam on it. So I tried to travel over smaller roads, therefore I got the possibility to hunt down some good places. I drive with my car without any plan (except it must steer me to home), and check the cache's near to the road with my mobile. If I find one, I make a stop and start search. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S II with the application c:geo.

#45 Raststation
This was a big station where you can fill your car with gas or make a rest. I am arrived to seek the cache. I searched long but this is a big NF (Not Found). The place, where the cache supposed to be exist I think was empty. However It could be that I just not found it.

#46 Rail
It was completely dark there and I stopped my car near to the cache, but I am worried about that somebody will catch me and say I had to go out from the railway's ground. I think I was on the wrong side of the "hill". I went up to the hill and turned to left to try to find the cache. After a 10 Minute search I turned back as I could not find anything except a metallic border piece in the grass. On the way back I just saw the cache. When I went up to the hill and turned left was the bad decision :) I should turn to right as the cache was placed there on a tree.

The cache was a house for birds. You can find a key below the house and with that to open the box was very easy. I found 2 GCs. One need to go Africa and then back to Germany and the other will just travel around the world.

As I found this cache very interesting and I think the way how it hide is brilliant, I gave them a favorite point!

#47 Chapel Hill
Now, this was a fast found (because I read the spoiler text), however I am interested more on the "Berg". This is a hill what is actually a chapel look in the night a kind weird for the first sight. But it is an very interesting building. I will probably go back some day because I would like to see it from inside too.

#44 - Futterknecht

As I am working near to this Cache (what I am already found before) we decided with my Colleague Alfred that we eat something in the Restaurant beside the cache and I show this one to them as He want to play this funny game with. The restaurant was not open (TUE, WED closed), but we opened the Cache. It was almost empty. However I hope that my Colleague will play with! :)

#43 - Wall hide

My next cache was an easy found (with some luck) but I liked the way how it was hidden.

On the way to home I am searching some days for "Urban" cache. As normally (and after Day light saving Time change) it is dark when I go home from my work, I cannot do a Forest like search, rather than search in cities.

This time I found a cache what is placed near to a road in a small village close to the Hungarian border. I drove many times through over this little village but was never there where the cache can be found. I bought some new equipment for my night play as it was not easy to search in such bad visibility outside cities or towns. I think it worth, as I could find the small stone what has a little different look as the wall had from 5 meters. I run to the wall and found the small transparent tube inside the wall with the logbook.

My motivation

I heard about this nice game before but never know that it could be so fun! We went out to the near forest for a short walk with my Family (with my Wife, my Daughter, Mom and my Father).

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon and my Father asked to take Photos of him beside a statue (see attached picture!) in the Sopron Forest what he not saw for ages. And after this, he tried to look up a cache near to this statue. We could not found it (it was a Hungarian only cache), but at the evening I searched with Google, what is this game, and where is the cache what we tried to find. I found the geocacher.com webpage as the official International page for this game and the Hungarian version too.

My brain started to work and I found out how it works and that near to me are some caches. With this blog I would like to write all my records, feelings and stories about geocaching all around the world. My native language is not English so If you find some mistakes, please accept that, or write some private note what and how to correct! :) I will probably write every blog entry in Hungarian too.
